School assignment for 3D and 2D.
Sail ship in Art Nouveau style.
3D sail ship
Simple 3D sail ship.
This ship will be traced in 2D.
The focus is on the big and medium objects/forms in this model.
Wireframe
Moodboards are important.
I went on Pinterest and made several moodboards for this project.
One for Art Nouveau in general, one for the objects in that time and one for the sail boat.
The sail ship was a bit of a challenge, I took to much time with making sketches.
I had less inspiration than with the watchtower.
Because I spend so much time with making the sketches, I didn't got the chance to make multiple silhouettes. Just for sketch number 1.
The teacher made me choose between two boats and told me to make a few block-outs, by mixing these two sketches.
It are mixes between sketch 4 and 5.
I asked some friends which of the block-outs they liked most.
everyone liked the blue sail ship.
When the coice was made, I put detail in the model.

In this period I had to paint over my 3D model.
For the first time I made the textures myself.
The teacher helped me by telling to start with the big pieces of shadow and dirt, when that was done I started with the detail.

The subjcts 3D and 2D are combined.
