This period was all about practice, I had to make an animation where you saw what I wanted to practice.
My goal: Animate water
I started with a lot of prototypes:
I wanted to make an underwater world movement but that was to difficult.
The teacher came to me and said: 'see water as something compact not something like it is in it's true form, you see that really good in Avatar the last airbender'.
So than I thought, why don't I make like this little water ball that gets thrown arround between hands?
Well we could see it was almost worse, the ball looked like a piece of marble that could strech, I didn't even bothered to colour it blue.
It frustrated me so much that there was only one option:
film myself and use the rotoscope maner.
Yes that is me acting like a water bender.
But the good thing is that I finally achieved what I wanted!
Moving water, the water moves in a compact form, just like in Avatar, and with the movement of my character it makes scence.
The end result is so cool! But it took so much work.
